Cross fire Pro not Square?

Hey y’all, Happy Holidays!

I have a question for anyone who might know the answer. My Crossfire Pro has been running daily without any issues for the past 5 months, but recently I’ve noticed a couple of problems. The right side of my table has started struggling—it’s slipping or moving choppily during jogs. On top of that, I’ve noticed my 1/2" lead screw whipping toward the end of its jog.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this and the best way to fix it? I’m really hoping this isn’t because the table wasn’t perfectly square when I set it up.

Thanks so much, and happy holidays to everyone!

Start by checking the coupler between the stepper motor and the lead screw on the side that’s lagging. If it’s not tight, it can slip and cause lost motion and racking of the X rail.

Switch the plugs for the Y motors at the control box and see if the problem moves to the other side. Make sure they are plugged in ALL the way also.
