Drain lines in the system look very small diameter. Does anyone have problems with them clogging with chips? How would you clear those clogs if that were to happen?
Blow air backwards through each line.
That’s my only complaint. The alum drain screens get blows out of the drains. I wonder if someone has come up with a solution to this. I don’t have a 3d printer so a gasket of sorts is out for me.
But really, the drains clear very easily.
Note… I would not blow 120 psi air through the drainage lines. A little moderation is required.
I use this open cell foam for aquarium filters razor cut to .5" thick and then cut to a rough pyramid shape and placed under each screen. I’m still fine tuning my methods but currently a light mist of spray adhesive on the foam secures them nicely to the trays and is firm enough to blow clean with shop air, while also cheap enough ($13 for 3 - 9"x9" sheets) to replace often.
I’ve thought about just removing the metal screens but they do still work as a nice pre-filter.
Anything small enough to still make it through the foam flushes down the drains without issue as well.
Thanks everyone for the quick replies. What an awesome forum!
