is it the pla white support material that came with the starter kit ?
Yes, it is TinMan
works great as interface layer only
So replace it with PLA again or it different?
what are you printing with the support white PLA that is failing ?
A coaster for my wife. It’s got a KMart logo on it. She loves KMart.
the support material is not for making things
Ok, I will put it to the side, like the dumpster.
no just use it when you need a support interface that can be removed easily .
Thanks for the update. I knew something was going on with the white filament. I will make a couple of ABS black fish finder mounting plates with our name and logo tomorrow morning. I reading up on the ABS-CF filament usage and procedures.
Lounge Thread…
Have you read this entire thread?
Lots of ideas and things we do. Storage, driers, tips and tricks,
Brew up a cup of that coffee and one of those special cigars and get to reading.
I will do that.
I saw in your picture you had the support filament loaded up in you AMS. I was going to say something but figured you were printing something that needed a raft or support. I haven’t opened the support filament yet. I try to design everything, so it doesn’t need support. Eventually I will graduate to some more complex parts I suppose. For your Kmart coaster you need to do a dual color print white base with a red K.
This is what I used for a filament dryer, a spool fit in there nicely, but this one is no longer available.
