Baseplate surfacing issue

After surfacing routine, I noticed ridges on left plate only and the right was as smooth as glass. What needs adjusting?

Welcome to the forum! Which machine are you asking about? From your question, I’m thinking MR-1 and, if so, I can move this to the MR-1 category where it will get more focused attention.

Sorry, not sure how I got on the wrong forum.

I have an MR-1, factory built.

You’re not on the wrong Forum. You need to post the thread in the MR1 category.
I would get a 123 block and follow the instructions on traming the machine. It probably needs a shim or two. Maybe even removing one.
Email Langmuir and see how they want you to proceed since they assembled it. It’s easy to do, but it’s just a pain in the well, you know.

Actually that as my next step, but decided to try the forum first. The factory card did say both lean and node were out by .001, but the video said it was acceptable. Then considering the shipping distance of Texas to Ohio, my bet was a tramming issue.

After hours of playing, travel compensation for X,Y and Z are dead on at 1.0000 = 1.0000, So if I can get traming to that tolerance, I’m going to see some amazing results.

Thanks!
