Auto facing in Cut Control

When I try to bring up the Automatic Facing program in Cut Control, I don’t get an on-screen keyboard to enter parameters with. I have the working keyboard when I change other settings, soft limits, etc., but not with the Automatic Facing. I’ve tried changing the keyboard display settings and also don’t get a constant on keyboard when I choose that. Am I missing a setting somewhere, or might there be another issue?

Same here, could not get the keyboard to pop up. I have resorted to punching in numbers via the pendant.

The pendant appears to be the only way to enter numbers. I had one of the pendants with the cold-soldered battery contacts, so after I fixed that, it’s all good.

@FabDoc What version are you running? Mine currently pops up the box to type in the parameters, V24.1.1.

Mine works also 24.1.

Unless you have the V2 probe, don’t go to 24.1. use 23.1 @FabDoc

How do I find out which probe I have. I received mine 04/20234. Is 23.1 Cut Control on the general downloads section or archived somewhere else?

Got Windows to allow the 23.1 download after circumventing their paranoia. I’d still like to know how to ID the probe. Thanks

If you didn’t just upgrade in the last two months from their website then you are ok. The V2 has six bolts on the bottom.V1 has three. I recommend that when you can. You purchase a V2 probe or the conversion kit. Then update to 24.1. Much better and less bugs.

I have 24.1 and the auto facing requires I enter the numbers via the pendant. However, i feel thats more of a Windows thing than a LS bug. I believe there is some bug in the way the touchscreen is set up.

I use a keyboard on my MR1. That may be the difference.

yea its a bug with the older version, i am still on it, but you can bring up the windows on screen keyboard to use. thats what i do.

Upgraded to 23.1 and the touchscreen keyboard is now active. Thanks to all that contributed to this issue.

Glad we could help. Just for your information. The touch screen function works on 24.1 also. I tried it even though I use a keyboard.
