Hi All, rookie from Australia here. Just ordered the Crossfire Pro this morning and already looking at arrangements for the cutter. Are air filters for the cutters a good idea or unnecessary? Local suppliers are offering package deals that include the filters and cartridges.
Clean, DRY air is essential for plasma cutting.
Most people are using at least an aftercooler between the compressor pump and the air tank with a water separator before the air goes into the tank, possibly a refrigerated air dryer, dessicant bead air dryer and a Motorguard filter. All of this is in addition to the filter that comes with the plasma cutter.
