so I got this cable for my Hypertherm 85 Sync from langmuir - it has the wrong ends - one if corect but the one that plugs in to the controler is wrong. you can’t plug it in to the Turch on off port on the controll. What am i missing here
They’re correct.
The short one goes to the DIV input on your VIM. The cable leading out of your VIM needs to go on the DIV out.
The long one goes to the ON/OFF of your control box.
It’s in the assembly/THC guide on the Langmuir site. If you skip steps, you set yourself up for failure.
The only difference between one table to the next is that the XR will specifically use a two prong cable end instead of a barrel plug.
But you don’t state what table you run.
If you have an XR, and need that plug end, I can send it to you as I received one for an XR table and I had a Crossfire Pro.
Unless you ordered the correct one and Langmuir sent you the wrong one.
You’ll see the option for Crossfire/Crossfire Pro
And Crossfire XR
Fortunately the torch ON/OFF is simply an open circuit so you can snip it off and use the right plug without fear of using the wrong wire.
ya - that was my thought - but I actualy called them and ordered it. oh well - this is not the first time with wrong parts. I will cut it
Ya - I will just cut it so i can get it done
Yes I do have a pro - I called and ordered it from them - oh well - I think i will just cut it and splice it
No need to splice anything at all if you have a Pro.
The Pro as you see, uses barrel plugs for each the On/Off as well as THC.
