Adjust Torch Mount Z-Slide Tilt Forward, Not Backward

I just received my CrossFire Pro and I’m at step 8: Z-Axis Tramming. Per the video, it’s assumed that most everyone’s Z-slide is tilted too far forward. The correction is to turn the adjustment screws on the back inward to tilt the Z-slide back until the Z-slide is perpendicular with the slats.

Out of the box, my Z-slide is already tilted too far back, so I assume I need to do the opposite, which is turn the adjustment screws outward to make the Z-slider tilt more forward to make it perpendicular with the slats. Problem is, the adjustment screws are already loosened to point of falling out of the holes and the Z-slide is not tilting forward at all. Is there something else I need to adjust on the on the Z-slide to tilt the Z-slide forward? Thank you!

I just watched the video and noticed that he never tells you to loosen the nut and bolt that holds the bearing, prior to adjusting the set screws. The set screws press against the bolts that secure the bearings in place. Those bolts are in a slot that allows the bearing to move forward and back with the pressure from the set screw. They can’t move either way, unless the bolts holding the bearings are loose first.

Note that there is another set of adjustable bearings that ride on the underside of the X axis, also.
