I was using my laptop on battery to drive the Crossfire. I noticed that if it went to sleep, it loses the connection to the THC and needs to have the USB cable unplugged & plugged back in to re-establish connectivity. Restarting FireControl alone doesn’t work. The THC shows as an option in the drop-down list but selecting it doesn’t reconnect.
I suspect Windows (10 in this case) doesn’t recognize the USB connection when it wakes up.
Solution is to either unplug and replug the USB cable or to turn off any battery power mode that sleeps the system when there’s no activity. Mine is usually set for 15 minutes but I created a new Windows power management profile for the Crossfire. Easy enough to switch between profiles.
