$5 No-drill monitor mod

Just wanted to share a quick monitor mod. I kept bumping into the rigid arm, and wanted to be able to use the controller from the side. These lazy susan bearings are a drop in fit with the existing hole pattern (if you use 10-24 screws and some washers)

I was considering a normal monitor arm, but I liked the height and placement of the stock arm, and didn’t want to throw it out.

Ideally the joint would be a little more stiff to avoid undesired movement, right now it rotates very freely. I will probably cut a quick bottom plate in HDPE to “sandwich” the bearing with a bolt, and add some friction and even axial preload to the bearing.
