Z axis Lubrication

Does anyone know if the Z screw drive needs to be lubricated?

Yes…it definitely does. Mine was making a terrible squealing sound. All along I thought it was coming from the other lead screws and kept lubricating them without success. Finally shot the Z-screw and it was eliminated.

Doesn’t take much. (silicone spray is best but don’t get it on the electrical contacts). You can also use 3-in-1 or sewing machine oil but they will attract dirt/debris.

@Andrias I soak all the moving points of pro before I begin a session with WD-40 silicone spray.

WORD TO THE WISE !!!

do not spray lube on the couplers IMO this is one of top reasons behind coupler slip.
