Looks like a really nice unit. Congratulations!!
Thanks, weâre gonna have fun with it.
Craig, all I can say is âWOWââŚbut you know I wonât stop there.
Very impressive and we get to be the recipients of all the advances. I am excited to see more of your videos.
Thanks, will see what happens.
Thatâs impressive Craig, As Jim said looking forward to seeing some of your videos!
I tell ya what, working in industry sure comes with some perks, having licenses to essentially every form of CAD out there⌠I donât think Iâve found better nesting software than Inventor Pro. Deepnest doesnât hold a candle to it.
I have an Autodesk subscription to the Product Design and Manufacturing Collection. I was oblivious to the fact that it included the Inventor Nesting program until you brought it to my attention. I just downloaded it. Iâll start playing around with it, the learning never ends!
This job convinced me that I needed a plasma table, I actually sub-contracted a friend out of state where we used to live to cut it out then had everything powder coated locally. I designed this and used Deepnest.io to nest this and worked really well. Iâve also used Deepnest on numerous laser and router projects and for an open source application Iâve been impressed what it has done so far. Iâve learned that if you start off with a sheet either to small or to larger for the quantity of items you have and then iterate the sheet size you can get better optimization.
That looks really nice! Hopefully the 4x4 or 6x6 donât rot off at the ground like most of them do!
nice work.
Thanks Guys, I was responsible for the metal work
and yes itâs 6x6 and pressure treated wood isnât what it used to be, they did concrete it in very well. They made a few modifications to the framing after I finished. Hereâs what was sent to me as the final product.
Ya pouring them in concrete will shorten there life even more. They do look sharp painted.
How did you attach the letters to the wood?
No matter how long the posts last, That is one sharp looking sign, nice Job
Put a pic of that on your website if you have one, that will get you business!
@Knick Thanks, the sign facing is actually metal panel strips that look like wood!! I used stainless steel with a black finished head metal screws, the letter standoffs are rubber grommet pads I made from a very thick horse pad material you can get from Tractor Supply. It was leftover from making floor and bed mats for my side by side, works great.
Yeah, they said I could use pictures on a website when I get that up and going.
I saw this on you tube and thought of you guys. Kinda interesting, I have never seen one and I did not buy it, just sharing

I also have one of those and a hexagon type. They work great for rigging aluminum bass boats.
The inserts come in aluminum, stainless, and steel. Imperial and metric. God I hate the metric system ![]()
I also pre order the new Bambu HD w \ AMS yesterday. I opted out of the laser add on. I probably will regret it. They are saying April 8 or so is the release.
It wonât be a huge âregretâ because it can be retrofitted.
Metric and limit switchesâŚgot it! Thinking of new profile picture. ![]()
for rivnuts or the stud style? how do you get a hex hole?
The kit has a tool similar to the one in the video. You drill a hole and insert it. The tool cuts the hole into a hex.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mv9LsYf0m1k
