@holla2040 How thick of material can it weld?
I’ve been watching Travis and his build #2. I’ve also watched a ton of fiber laser YouTube videos.
He’s been buying from SkyFire https://alleriastore.com/ and has found them to be very helpful. We contacted them via Whatsapp, Fiona helped us with all our questions. We couldn’t decide what to buy, stuff for a plasma cutter replacement or a 3-in-1 machine.
We bought this, SF-Blazer Handheld Laser Welder Sale
BWT 2000W 3-in-1 machine. We threw in a BM110 just in case we change our mind.
Automatic Laser Cutting Head-Raytools-BM110 (3300W)
We went with the DDP route (slow boat, no additional import charges) over FedEx and customs. Its going to take 50-60 days to get here. This fine because we have projects to finish up and a shop reorg.
I’ll do a full unboxing and videos when it arrives.

The cutting head can attach to the welder for the CNC table?
How thick can the cutting head go? Did not see it in the spec right away.

Craig did you buy this mainly for one of the three functions? I have seen a few different models of laser welders at Fabtec and the hand held guns were heavy and bulky. Did you see one of these ahead of buying?
So are you guys thinking of building a laser table?
Got a new shop TV today. 50" 4K Insignia for $189 and a HF wall mount for $20. It’s great for phone casting for our shop discussions. We used it twice today. One thing that’s kind of a pain, it’s a Fire TV and it requires an Amazon account to even turn on. Probably why it was so cheap.
I wanted to watch 25T press YouTube videos today but there are basically none. What’s up with that guys?

The last Fire thing I bought, a tablet, within two months a virus had installed itself and I could no longer update the firmware to get rid of it. Basically trash! Amazon does a good job stocking and shipping stuff. Not so much on designing hardware (or rockets for that matter).

what is phone casting?
You get a really stiff rod, sort of like a salt water rod. Tie a fisherman’s knot around your phone and give it a strong overheard heave.
