I have my table assembled but upon installing the gantry on the y axis, the gantry seems to be tight on one end only. It moves smooth on the other end, but if you slide the gantry by hand toward the other end it becomes harder to move, you have to hold the table and apply a considered amount of force to move the gantry completely to the other end. Does any one else have the same issue? how did you resolve it?
The x axis slides smooth with no effort, I assume the y axis should slide as such.
Hi, its possible that the weld seam on the 2.5” tube that surrounds the 2” Y axis rail is dragging a little bit on one end of travel. I recommend moving forward with assembly to the point where you level the gantry. Doing so will likely rectify the issue automatically. If its still tight at one end after that, let me know.
