Is there a way to set x and y limits either on the table itself or in FireControl as to prevent either myself or the program from over running the gantry and carriage? Essentially a way to tell the system to stop if it ever reaches certain positions on the table?
I have the CrossFire PRO. Have not burned anything yet. Still getting familiar with it.
We have mentioned a limit switch kit for the Gen2 controller in the past and it is still something we plan to release. This is what is required to home and use soft / hard limits. It is a stock feature with the CrossFire XR and is supported in FireControl.
Currently the easiest thing you can do is jogging to the extents of the program (as visualized) and ensure you are within travel. Running a Dry Run will also accomplish this albeit likely slower if the program is large.
Ok. Yeah thats what I’ve been doing when figuring out how to use the return to zero button… just figured there would be a mechanical or programmed fail safe to further assure you don’t mess stuff up.
