X-Axis not running to stops(Solved)

I am installing my limit switches and when I tried to move the x-axis up the limit switch to ensure it contacts the limit switch before the bolt, the motor sounds like I have already hit a stop. the switches are not connected, but the connections inside the box have been done.

The x-axis runs fine with the exception of 5" to the left side of the table (limit switch side). I did disconnect the motor from the drive screw and was able to manually move the cutter to table left.

Thoughts

My first thought is that you installed a Y axis bearing mount or motor mount on the X axis. They are different sizes.

The only other thing could be the X axis lead nut mounting bracket is not square to the X rail.

The table has two different-sized bearing mounts. It’s possible that one of them is in the wrong place. Please refer back to the assembly instructions and check your work. You’re not the first to encounter this issue. Alternatively, you might have the wrong mount altogether. I recommend reviewing your assembly steps to ensure everything is correct.

It worked a couple days ago when i was running the table for the first time. Additionally, once it hits the “stop” as it approaches the left side, if I change the speed to 10 IPM it will run just fine in and out.

I went back and checked the bearing mounts and the lead mounting bracket is square. It ran just fine three days ago the only change was I connected the limit switch boards to the control box. I do not have the the limit switches enabled.

Run the carriage all the way till it stops by itself. When that happens take a allen wrench and just un-tighten the bolts holding the bearing carrier.
It may be twisted and out of square. If it is it will snap back in position, then re- tighten the bolts.

i rechecked square, i did find that
i used a longer bolt on the bottom of the mount so it was not pulling the mount tight. However, that did not fix the problem. It will have to wait a week, the motion controller failed. I have ordered a new one and it will be shipped on monday.

Update: Motion controller installed, still had same issue, talked with Langmuir and sent out a new lead screw as mine was bent, runs stop to stop now.
