I received my Crossfire XR yesterday along with my Hypertherm 85. I thought the table was supposed to come in two different size crates. A large one (36"x56"x48" @ 570lbs) and a long one (16"x112"x9" @ 230lbs) I received two of the longer ones. I haven’t had a chance to open them yet and already sent an email to Langmuir but figured I’d pop on here to see.
I would take pictures of the shipping labels and packing lists. Open then up carefully in case you do need to ship one back.
Thats my plan for after work this evening. Never even crossed my mind about it possibly being wrong until I was reading the assembly instructions online and saw the one large crate that I didn’t receive.
I had the exact same thing happen and I found that it was the shipping company. they get multiple shipments of XR’s and they assume that the two boxes that look alike are supposed to go together.
One of my boxes was sent to Canada and I looked at the labels and one of the boxes I had was supposed to be sent to Canada. it was a mess caused by ABF.
Langmuir helped to resolve it but it was totally an ABF issue.
Should be a long one and a big cube if I remember correctly.
Definitely not two identical crates
I know this is a few months late, but I had the exact same issue! Fortunately, knew it was wrong before I signed for both boxes. ABF was at fault in my case as well. It almost seemed like they intentionally were trying to keep the package. They “lost” it in their own warehouse. The manager at the local warehouse lied to me over the phone and they tried to get Langmuir to send a new one but langmuir told them “no”. Langmuir was very helpful and even compensated me some of the freight.
Yep, same thing , except I received the big one and not the small long crate. Took some messing around, tons of calls, contacting Langmuir and did eventually get to resolved. This was the shipping companies fault and they were not helpful but Langmuir tracker it down.
Good luck to you (I know this is an older post…)
