Working through setup - Burst gas does nothing

So we are currently working our way through the set up of the Apollo laser. I’ve made it down to the point of first gas burst test during the set up, we have oxygen hooked up and set at 100 psi per the setup guide. Whenever I click on burst gas, it does nothing. I’ve tried restarting and checked all connections. We have updated to the latest 26.1.3 software as well as used the new grblHAL_LS_Laser-v2.0.0.HEX file and ls-laser-v2.0.00uf2 files. Still having random issues with the gantry stopping moving and having to reset the machine. We will be reaching out to support on Monday, but with the holiday we were just trying to get things set up while I’m off of my regular job. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these problems. My primary holdup right now is the burst gas issue.

Hey Dakota,

For the burst gas I would double check that you have these three steps done first:

  1. CHS homed
  2. AF homed
  3. Material properties loaded with O2 selected as Gas Type

After that you should hear that air hiss when pressing burst gas. If not then try changing the gas type to N2 in your material properties, load it, and try the burst gas again.
