Wire forming anyone here capable?

I have a proto type I need 5 pieces bent up anyone here Have the resources to make this part?
3/16" CR round

If you don’t have any takers by early next week and can tolerate a CLR around 3/8" I’d be willing to give that a go for you on my homemade hand bender. My dance card is full through Sunday and I’m not sure how hot you are to get parts in your hand.

Do you have a basic drawing and tolerances in mind?

Might be to big let me post some pics with Dim’s

I can probably print some dies for the Titan 25T that could bend with a tighter radius, but then we might be getting into the range of more costly than it’s worth if someone already has the tooling to make the parts for you.

You have a welding fixture table?

You could make a jig pretty easily even out of plate and flatbar (3/8 to 1/2").

Drill a hole and weld a bolt large enough for the inside radius for the two “U” bends, and a second set of holes and bolts for the dog leg.

Bend the “U” first, then the dog legs, cut to length.

Apply some minor heat with a propane or map torch to help bending a little if needed. Tack some flat bar in places for stops and starts. it’s in my head, hard to put in words.

If you had to do a bunch (15 or more) I would invest the time in making my fixture plate duplicate the functions of a bar bender. like the UB-100

I actually have a bender for bending small stuff like this, but that real tight Dog leg I couldn’t get it right. Want me to send you the sample?

:thinking::blush:

Ok I will try and see if I can do this over the weekend. If I can’t, it all your guys fault🤣

Drill 2 holes in a piece of bar stock and press in 2 small dowel pins and bend the tight corners with those. They’ll get you a small radius and by keeping the stickout small you can get away with pretty small pins. Use a vise to hold the stock and allow you to measure out accurate locations and align your bend planes.

You want to do this? Tell me how much I will send you the sample

Think I’ve got some 3/16" rod in the garage, I’ll check tomorrow since I’ll be in there bending and welding stuff anyway.
