Will the kerf cause this?

What causes this and how can i prevent it?

That is the pierce. Looks like it’s on the wrong side of the line and/or to close to the cut path. What program are you using for cam?

I am using sheetcam

All my cuts have that pierce and it makes my cuts look like crap, lol.how can i fix it?

Select “outside offset” and use a lead-in.

I know it sounds wrong, but set up your cut as a single operation with outside offset. Sheetcam will assign the correct offsets to the inside, outside and open lines.

If you use inside offset, in a single operation, Sheetcam reverses all of the offsets.

Using a lead-in puts the pierce hole on the waste portion of the cut
