Whose leg do I have to hump to get someone to call me back and help me

I’ve called probably three or four different occasions. I did get someone on the phone one time but didn’t solve it. . I’ve emailed that person back with no response and since then I’ve called three times and been on hold long enough it makes you leave a message so I left my name and phone number and have yet to have a call returned to help me. I’m having a problem with losing arc and I need some help. I think it’s down to something mechanical.

@temple6300 welcome to the forum.

Tell us more about your setup. Lots of knowledgeable people on here willing to help but need some more info.

When you say you are loosing arc. How long does it cut. 1/4 inch.. 6 inches generally loosing arc is a bad connection at the work clamp or air related.

What cuter are you using?

Tell us about your air setup.

Pictures always help.

Let’s get you cutting.

When I last had serious downtime from losing arc it was the THC that was fragged. Try turning off the THC before your cut and see if it works, at the very least you can rule out the THC. Also a simple fix is what 72Pony said, if you have a blowback pilot arc torch and you don’t have sufficient air pressure it won’t fire off an arc. I think most torches these days are blowback pilot arcs.

finally got through on the phone - sounds like it’s a relay in the main control box - a new one is being sent.
