What font is this?

Can anyone tell what font this is? talking about the big letters.

Looks like Times New Roman

Looks like Serif type font ( new roman times is a serif font) , very hard to tell with a sample size of 2 letters.

“A serif font is a font that has small lines or flourishes at the ends of the letters. They are often seen as traditional and formal and are commonly used in printed materials like books and newspapers. Examples include Times New Roman and Garamond.”

I used a random font identifier via Google any time I run across one I can’t identify. They actually work pretty good if you have a clean shot. But, being a design nerd now I can identify some immediately.

That’s times new Roman baby. Or at least it’s close enough no one will know.

You’ll also find that a lot of places use Google fonts. There’s a good reason, there’s tons of them, they are unrestricted for licensing and they are great.

so when I use Times new roman, the “C” doesn’t look right. This architect is pretty particular and he’ll notice if its not right.

Ah. Well it looks like @TinWhisperer got you squared away with the font identifier.

I always tell people they need to know their font for anything more than initials unless they want to pay more to figure it out. Id trace a couple of obscure letters just since it would be faster than figuring out the font. Most people just want something close, or they chose a lame font and love the new ones I propose.

If he’s so picky he should know his fonts!

This is a fantastic point.

@danzick another option if that screenshot is from a PDF is to crop ( PDF to PDF) out both of those letters and then bring those PDFs into a PDF SVG converter. The PDF SVG converter should give you a very good representation of the original.

Interestingly, Affinity designer 2 now can take a pdf and convert it to editable curves instantly.

I’ll have to check that out, thanks for the tip!

Thanks. I’ll try to figure it out from here. I didnt ask the font. Figured I could figure it out myself. It appears Fusion 360 doesnt have a font I can easily use. i’ll try converting to svg like tinwhisperer suggested.

Fusion 360 will use any font you have installed on your OS. Download the font to your operating system and you’ll be able to use it.
