I may or may not have opened a bottle of wine! 
You can always draw in what you want then, export to PNG… Bring the PNG in as an import, and then Object → Path… Trace Bitmap… Save as SVG…
I know, kinda janky way to go about it but, it’s worked for me in the past…
Thanks I will try it! Who cares that it’s janky as long as it works! And that seams so much easier anyway!
I could not get anything to work so I just walked away from it! Started something different!
