Welding up new clamps

Getting clamps for table. What did you guys weld on bottom of clamps to go into table holes ?? Does oil ground drill rod fit in holes ???

Box of 5/8 bolts from lowes.I got longer ones and cut the threads off and left the shoulder.

5/8" mild steel round bar. Weld it on at a slight angle, so your clamp is straight when you tighten it

5/8" shoulder bolts

I don’t have ARCFLAT table so I don’t know if this idea translates exactly, but I used 5/8" and some Harbor Freight clamps for light duty work. Just cut one end of the clamp and weld on the bolt.

I used 3" bolts and PVC spacer as it makes it easier to reach under my table to screw on the nut.

I bought a whole bunch of cheap clamps and welded 5/8" round rod on them…they will fit most tables as most tables are made with 5/8" holes…from cheap ones to nice arcflats…
