Apologies for asking a question I’ve asked before about the best water treatment for my new Crossfire XR. I’d like to talk to the fellow who bought anodized rods from Amazon rather than using an anti-fungal and anti-rust solution, sounds a lot cheaper if it works well. Would also like to know if anyone knows of a reason not to go that way. I can’t find his original response is why I’m posting this again. Thanks. Terry
The sacrificial anode is primarily for galvanic reactions between dissimilar metals.
I don’t believe it does anything for bacteria growth.
Break loose and buy a pail of Sterling Cool for $200 or so.
It will last you for almost a year.
Enough with these science experiments.

AgNO3 might work, if you’re made of money.
