Anybody have photos of simple water table splash guards on XR tablets help control water splash t
Nature of the beast.
I have a modified Pro table and splash is an annoying issue.
I keep some 1.5" 18ga angle iron handy to set up on the side when the torch gets close to the edge. Also have a mop.
I added 1x1 square tube to top edge of water table, cut down 90% of water going on floor of shop when cutting along edges. no water getting out when cutting away from edges now. Can see drilled holes in tubes for self-drilling screws to attach to water table with 3m 4200 marine sealant between table and tubes to seal, can fill water level over tops of Slatts no leaks.
I take your talking with a sheet with the edge right tight to the tube?
No, material is usually 1-4" away from edges no water splashes over tubes, made a world of difference.
Wow I would never thought that would work from that far away. Nice upgrade
Nice setup, might have to give that one a try, gives it a nice lip and potential edge to square steel against.
This is what I came up with. My primary concern was protecting and keeping water off of the controls unit, as well as the cable guide along the left side of the table. Have a buddy with a 3D printer, handed him a rough sketch of what I wanted and this is the final version. Gotta say works perfectly keeping water splash off of the important stuff.
Very nice addition. Kudo’s
Any chance your friend would be down to share the print file for your splash guard? This is a great addition!
He may be willing to sell a copy of the print file, or just make you a set. I’m not sure how much he would charge for a set of these for your table. I will talk to him and get back to you.
