Using scale function in mach3

So - still getting my machine dialled, but progressing well.

I wanted to highlight the scale function in Mach3 as an easy way to resize something without having to go back into fusion etc… this might be obvious to others but I just found it a quick easy way to reproduce stuff at different sizes (maybe to use up small spaces on leftover bits of steel etc).

The scale is by default set to 1.000 in mach3 (to the right of the axis co-ordinates).

Picture below is .60x, .75x, 1.0x (default) and 2.0x

Only thing to remember is if you have bolt/screw holes in your piece they will also get scaled up/down…

Nice work. Looks like you doing a fine job. And the way of scaling in mach is exactly what i do.

can you check the scaled up or down size in Mach 3 or do you just guess?

If your good at math you can. I just change it. bigger or smaller . regen tool path jog torch to see the limits of travel. I mainly change it to use smaller peices that would otherwise be scrap.
