I ran across a used XR table with all the accessories that was literally only used once or twice for a couple of small test runs. The shop owner purchased the machine and thought he had a guy to run it and shortly afterward his guy quit. The machine sat for almost 2 years in a corner and just collected dust and let the coolant evaporate which left some rust looking deposits in the water table and very very light surface rust in some other areas. Aside from cleaning and lubricating what other areas of the machine should I be concerned with before trying to fire up on the table once it has been cleaned, lubricated, and leveled? As you can tell I have zero experience with this machine so any help is appreciated!

Tons of very helpful people here, but it would help you and everyone that’ll help you if you first went through the very basics yourself.
Langmuir spells it all out for the complete novice, because there’s an assumption that many people have no clue what they’re doing.
Firecontrol itself is easier than playing Oregon Trail back when we were kids, with the most difficult part just being the CAD (drawing, design) part of things.
