so have had my crossfire since 2020 and been using with minimal issues since then, autodesk changed fusion 360 and basically rendered my old computer unusable, so i got a newer computer windows 11, and have been trying to get back up and running with zero success, and massive frustration. nobody at autodesk is willing to help since i am using thefree version, artsoft will only email me telling me to do the same thing over and over and not working, and langmuir does not help customers at all.
basically currently my mach 3 is not moving my table. after fighting all the installations and cut and pasting my paid licensing, the table does not respond i have tried numerous forum recomendations and nothing i have been at this for 4 hours just today let alone the other 15 hours i have been fighting this.
thats great, cause . Zachary also reached out to me, and this morning i called Langmuir and the person on the phone said they dont use fusion anymore. now firecontrol which would be $750 upgrade. but i could try uninstalling and reinstalling fusion. basically they have rendered my table useless and i am not happy
fusion has nothing to do with your table running. its mach3 that runs it. i would reach out to Zach again since he helped the other guy get his table back up and running.
From what I was able to gather from the call that you had with Zack earlier in the day the issue lies in the Mach3 .dll that was posted further up the chain. I sent a follow up email with the .dll included as well as a few other steps that should be of use if that isn’t the issue.
Also would be happy to setup a call if needed. I’m no expert with Mach3 as it is legacy equipment and before my time at the company, but I should be able to at the very least assist and find a solution.
yes i do not fault Langmuir, however all three companies involved make this incredibly difficult to resolve. since they all seem to not like each other and blame one another. so i found that issue alone, i had dropped a patch in the mach3 folder not the plug in folder, so now my gantry works. but now as soon as i touch the start button my plazma cutter fires immediatly and destroys the plate, this has now gone on for 2 weeks and has destroyed my side business. so now i just want to be able to cut stuff like i used too, but now i am struggling with my plasma cutter triggering as soon as you start
They are not helping because Fusion 360 is a CAD/CAM program. It has nothing to do with the function of your CNC table or your plasma cutter. Nothing to do with paid vs free.
Sounds like you just need to get your drivers placed in the correct folders. Based on the post above, Langmuir is willing to help you get things sorted.
Edit: Forgot to mention, I’ve been on the free version of F360 for almost 3 years. they have helped me several times when I had issues. Once they didn’t reply, but I fixed the issue myself anyway.
which is why i said i did not fault them, however this was their recommended setup when i purchesed this setup years ago and has been operating just fine until i was required to upgrade my cpu and windows to contioue using fusion360
