I’m 67445 and put my order in a couple hours after it went live.
My order at the PRI show was Dec 7th. The thread from langmuir said late May to June for the first batch.
I ordered earlier from the PRI show pre presale that’s why my number is so much lower
I am 67435 Lost to big Daddy by 15 points
He is a tough one to beat… You almost had him though
Mine is 71900 and I ordered near the end of Febuary
I’m 67423 PRI show.
I think people hoping they sold 10 or so from the show are severely mistaken by a factor of a couple hundred.
Order link from the show was online. You didn’t have to be there.
well the numbers are at a magnitude of 1000’s like from the show in Dec to the launch to Febuary, looks like 4000 units? 'ish. Then looking online on the site the big discount is still there if you buy now.
Looking at the reality of this and how things typically go…
no news other than what is on the site.
no responses when requested.
look like the order numbers are 5k units? figure they ship out what? maybe 10-15 a day at a good pace? it’s not amazon folks. it’s freight and these things are going all over the country and the logistics will be havoc to keep a 10 a day pace loading, batching and even the materials to pack this stuff up. 5000 / 15 = 300+ days if/when it starts?
no pics of anything on progress and this is beginning to feel like one of those kickstarters that never gets off the ground. the size of the facility to organize this needs to be bigger than their current building.
The reason this is not getting any news? well I think they choking on the elephant. 56 days till we say May is over. there really should be some big ass pile of crates at this point.
A little pessimistic are we? Any new product can run into delays. I’d bet orders placed within 10 minutes of launch will have their machine sometime this year. This isn’t their first product. IMO
I think it is a mistake to use the order numbers posted on various forums and websites and then do subtraction to estimate their order quantities and demand for this product.
We have to know that not every order made to Langmuir is a Titan 25T. Somebody ordered an accessory or mill or ArcFlat or coolant or, or, or…after my pre-order. We have no idea of knowing how many orders were placed between your pre-order and the next one. So the math doesn’t work. Speculating based on bad math is worse.
This is nothing like kickstarter. The deposits are refundable. I don’t see what the problem is here for those of us that signed up for this knowing that pre-orders don’t start until May.
Precisely. Additionally we don’t even know if order #s are sequential. They could be using a digit or two for some information like what the major product line the order is for or region where they’re shipping it to. The number of orders is likely far less than the order # might suggest.
At some point if people are not happy with the way things are progressing, they need to get a refund on their deposit. Stress is not good for anyone!
That’s the problem, the company is not saying how “things are progressing”. The company needs to should keep customers informed. The fact that people are viewing and responding this topic means a lot of people of the same concerns.
Some simple updates from Langmuir would go a long way to reassure people that everything is on track.
I can understand people want their new toys I got that. This is a small company they don’t have a lot of employees.
Do you guys want updates or do you want them in the shop getting things ready to ship.
Last year I ordered a new truck. When I placed the order I was told a approximate build date. It was crickets until it was at the dealership.
That is how things work there is no evidence that langmuir is going to rip you off.
Yes I think I have seen maybe 4 people that are not happy as to how it’s being handled.
I think there is a saying: You can’t make everyone happy all of the time but you can make some people happy some of the time😁
A simple pic. A small video. Some sort of post. ANYTHING. This thread has been up for a while. We all know May is the target.
We are all either hobby folks or small businesses with goals to be strived for and ideas in the keg ready to go.
Yet nothing even when requested.
I have personally done projects for large groups and when updates were requested…updated they were.
I’ not saying everyone gets a personal update. They could get 99 percent done by answering something in the thread aside from we are building a production line.
So, when May/June passes then what?
This is like standing in line at a wedding and the couple planned on 50 people but 290 showed and you are at the back of thin thinking how cl9se the micky d’s is.
Or that guy at the bbq who was supposed to bring the beer and the 12 of us watch this jackhole jump out of his truck with a six pack and 1 already opened
Hopefully we get an update.
But this thread is on point. Ask when and its only customers speculation… well, it shows bad mojo from the company not giving updates.
This isn’t being handled any different than any of their past product releases. I wouldn’t expect any different going forward. If it bothers you ask for your money back and go buy one off the shelf somewhere. For sure don’t plan or promise any business until it’s in your shop and you have a good working knowledge of how the machine works. Seems like every time they have a new release there are a handful of guys on here beating their chest that they have orders to fill… not only did they not have it in their shop yet… they had never operated a CNC anything or used a plasma torch or a mill… or a press.
You should understand your audience before you start judging people. I know i have not said anything directed towards any person. Only how this is being handled.
Im in line. Im waiting. It would be nice to know something on progress. The internet is a wonderful place full of people who hide behind keyboards. Im sure you are nice person.
The origin of this thread was just requesting information. I’m not sure why that is controversial and it seems like something that every customer would appreciate.
Was this directed at me? I’m not judging you at all, sorry you feel that way.
I was just letting you know this isn’t being handled any different than past releases they have done. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were minor delays and when they know they will send out an email and let you know about the delay and the reason for the delay. You put a deposit on a pre order with a significant discount… part of the cost of the discount is a little uncertainty on timing of delivery. You will get the product. It might be later than you hoped. If the uncertainties on timing are to high of a cost ask for your deposit back. No judging here… just straight talk.
