Trouble in break in process (solved)

Hey everyone, I could use a little help.

I just finished setting up my Crossfire XR after putting in hundreds of hours on my Crossfire Pro — felt like it was time to level up.

The issue I’m running into is with the limit switches not triggering correctly. During the initial homing and break-in process, the machine tries to move beyond its physical limits on the Y-axis, and the motors start screaming like it’s trying to overshoot the travel range.

I’ve verified that all the limit switches are functioning, but something seems off mechanically.

On the X-axis, it looks like the gantry is physically hitting the stop before the limit switch can engage — I attached a few photos showing what I’m seeing there.

On the Y-axis, I’ve moved the switch adjustment screws more times than I can count, making tiny tweaks, but I still can’t get the machine to home properly.

If anyone’s had a similar issue or can point me in the right direction, I’d seriously appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

It looks like it’s butting out at the end before triggering the limit switch. (Lower arrow)

Try bending this black metal tab (upper arrow) towards the limit switch so it is triggered before the axis butts out.

Thank you this resolved my issues!
