Transition a 3D design to 2D cuttable drawing

I am migrating my (novice) CAD experience from 3D printing, down to 2D plasma cutting. I’m curious if there is function in Fusion360 that can take a surface from a solid 3D part, and can create a 2D cuttable sketch from it.

A simple example is, let’s say I create a solid 3D rectangle. Now I want to plasma cut all 6 sides of that rectangle, without having to redraw it in a 2D. Is there a way I can select each side/surface, and paste the shape into a 2D sketch?

Use the sheetmetal support in Fusion. It will unfold your 3D box into a flat surface. If you set the appropriate material it has info on K factors needed to adjust the size to account for metal stretch when you fold it back into a box.
