Hypertherm 45XP with fine cut consumables is plunging, firing, coming up, plunging and firing repeatedly. Then getting message Torch Moving Before Cutting Voltage Sensed. I was cutting this same 14ga with the same settings a few days ago .
does it do that on a dry run as well? weird that it plunges, fires then goes up instead of down.
you might want to change the plunge rate to around 60-70 as well. that’s the time it takes for the torch to move from pierce height to cut height. that could be causing the issue.
