Torch goes out and the table stops mid cut on reaching a hole

Hi , Crossffire CNC Table it has THC and Z axis. When I am cutting out a design and the cut comes to a void or hole in the design the torch cuts out and therefore stops the cut. If i restart it just gets to the void/hole and stops again. My question, is there a setting i need to adjust so the torch keeps firing even if it enters a void area? My Limited knowledge of Firecontrol does not help.

Unless you’re cutting expanded metal I’m not sure why you would be cutting over a void.

But if you are cutting over a void there are options on most platters the cutters for expanded metal cutting. You’ll have to switch it to this mode.

You may have to run a non THC program to have success cutting this way.

I’d love to see the void you’re trying to cut over. I second what @TinWhisperer said.

sounds like you need to fix your overlapping design.

You also go through a lot of consumables if they void is big enough and do it a lot.

air cutting has it tendency to ruin them

What CAM program are you using that would generate a toolpath that goes over an already cut area?

The plasma stream depends on the metal being cut to complete the electrical connection. When that metal disappears, the connection is lost and the torch goes out. As others have said, some plasma cutters have an expanded metal or auto restart mode. That setting is on the plasma cutter and not a Firecontrol or CAM setting.
