The Mach 3 shows the torch as off but it is still on and leaving marks on the steel when transitioning to another cut.
Thoughts?
Does your plasma cutter have a 2T and 4T setting ? 2T is for on while engaged (so the trigger has to be held for an arc) the 4t setting is Press once for on and press once for off. Mach3 expects press for on and release for off ( 2T mode) not press/release for on then press/release again for off. This comes up often and this is usually the problem
