Torch Cable Length

New to the Forum! I recently acquired a used XR that actually was never completely assembled, only the legs and frame were assembled. I am looking at getting the Everlast 82i plasma cutter with just the hand torch so I can use it for one off cuts that I might need to do. I’ve looked at several machine torch options but some are 20’ while others are 25’ long. Is 20’ long enough? My concern is I would think that might limit exactly where I could place the plasma cutter. Any input is much appreciated. I’m still in the process of building out my shop and really looking forward to adding CNC plasma work to my CNC router and CO2 Laser!!

Using a hand torch isn’t an option on the XR.

According to Langmuir the XR requires a 25’ lead.

Thank you! Somehow I missed that, good to know. Yes, I just want a hand torch to plug in when I need to do any one off free hand cuts, that’s why I was looking at different machine torch options. I suppose I could just get the CNC package and purchase a separate hand torch

Thank you,

I have the pro table and just decided to get the machine torch with my new plasma cutter, soon after, I added the hand torch so I can switch and cut off the used pieces so the spent sheet is not hanging off the table. Also so I can use the table for small cuts I can do by hand.

I have XR with Primweld60 and a 20 foot length machine torch, its long enough and my machine is under the table. the extra 5 foot would be nice but in my case not needed.

If it’s not too late, and if its an option, the 25 ft long machine torch is adequate, get a 50-ft hand torch, and work lead.
