Does anybody use one, and how do you like it?

I use a cutmaster 82 with machine torch. it works well and I have no complaints about it.

how thick will it cut cleanly?

I have pierced and cut 3/4" plate with no trouble. moves very slow so you need to be careful of burning hole in water table. I cut a lot of 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" with mine. Here is 3/4" hitch plate and gussets on a small dump truck I was working on.
