have you looked at all your g codes to make sure they are good? when not working is fire control connected to thc? could be short.
this tells me you are going through electrodes because of water/moisture…
with compressor running hard and having to stop cutting to allow the compressor to catch up tells me you are delivering warm/hot air through the filters…and just pulling moisture with it…

My first makeshift air dryer was a moonshine worm in a bucket of ice water with a bead dryer after.
Hit the used market you can find decent deals on larger air compressors
