Temco.it EasyFit switch between and machine torch

I was reading into the temco torches and I found this system called easyfit that they use.

Seems like a great solution for those who both want a hand torch and a machine torch.

From the looks of things you can keep the machine torch head mounted in the plasma table undo the cable attach a hand torch and then use it which would be super handy.

Has anyone used this torch or had any experience with it?

It is a good idea, but they are not cheap.

Check out Ready Weld in London Ontario. They are a Canadian distributor for Tecmo, and they carry Intellicut, which is similar.

Are you able to source these for people?

Yes, but I have never been ask to get them for anyone.

So what kind of money is a guy looking at to get a cable , the machine torch and a hand torch?

And what would it cost for someone to buy the normal version of a machine torch with attached cable and a hand torch with attached cable?

I can see giving an exact figure on a forum post that’s going to get dated being troublesome so maybe is it more or less than buying the two individually or buying the easy fut system with two different cutting heads?

Maybe because people don’t know this system exists?

Not sure how people have their tables set up. But, for the XR the torch cable is routed through approx. 20’ of drag chain. Even with the crossfire you have the cable secured to support arm ? Would it not be more trouble than its worth to remove the cable every time ?

I think @Craig1 is right it would not be viable for a table per say. These torch’s would be for the person that needs to do close work cutting, gouging, and have a long reach head.

As far as a cost that would all depend on the plasma cutter, torch length, how many different heads you would want, I would say $1500 with one head complete torch and go up from their.

I guess it doesn’t make physical sense or economic sense.

If it was cost-effective and I still had my PRO I’m sure I could make the cable not be permanently secured to the overhead support.

Definitely wouldn’t work with the XR unless you had a 50 ft cable and it was all wrapped up on the x- axis.

If you did have 10 12 ft of extra cable at the torch end then at least you could cut skeletons (remnants) up with it.
