Swing out Laptop stand

This is a project I put off for far to long. I’ve been using a shop stool as a my laptop stand since I got my table. And its worked good enough that I kept procrastinating on designing my stand.

I have most the the crossfire modeled in Fusion 360, which made designing my laptop stand easier as I could check for clearances.

Most of the parts cutout

Arm welded up,was missing 1 piece that I forgot to cut.

Test fit before paint

And finished

Tucks in just above the water tray for storage.

Looks Great! I’ve been putting this off on my end as well since I have just started cutting with my table. What gauge metal did you use for this? Did you or would you be willing to share your design files on the SHARE site?
Again Nice Job

Thanks,

I used 11 gauge, which is a bit overkill.

I can upload the files, I will have to add some bend lines to the laptop tray as without them it would require a press brake. Same with the hinge plate.
