Is this the standard quality for these arms to be out so much? I know it really doesn’t matter for function, but for the price I expected the arms to be relatively square/perpendicular to the bend plate. If it was close it would be one thing but I could see they were way out even before I put a square on it. I couldn’t see any adjustment on these either so the welding must be off.
Has you brought this to the attention of Langmuir ? I agree it should be squarer than that.
We got a huge supply of these sent to us out of square and have sent feedback to our supplier. They still serve their function as a support arm, but it will be a while before we get a shipment of these that have been fixed and squared properly on that axis.
I straightened mine out in a couple of minutes. I ground off a little paint, clamped them in the vise, applied a little heat and bent them back to where they belong.
That is a great idea, thank you for your update.
Yep. That is what I plan on doing. Somebody’s jig wasn’t quite square… No big deal just fix it.
Sam, A better answer is we will fix any support arms that are out of square in our plant before we ship. . If anyone has out of square arms please send me a picture and I will send you a refund of ???$. We guarantee our products to be 100 percent as expected.
I don’t expect 100% at the price point Langmuir is selling stuff for. Just my take on it
I agree with @Danl. Just fix it. I can’t imagine you don’t have the capabilities in your shop. 20 min job. I’m sure @langmuir-sam will make it right if you don’t.
