Hoping someone can help me. I have an older Crossfire table running Mach3. I have a Hynade 60 amp plasma. I cut mainly 1/8”, 1/4”, and 3/8” parts
I have been running this set up for a couple years with minimal issues. Suddenly it is starting to cut approx a 20* bevel on the parts. (Opposite, but equal) It seems to make a nice cut, but beveled.
Here is what I have tried: Tried air pressure settings from 70 to 100, (and several in between), New consumables, new torch, even bought a new machine, Verified torch is square with parts trying to cut, I 3D printed a “y” axis support roller, I have read nearly every topic on this forum concerning this issue (maybe not every, but most)
Can anyone give me some more things to check. It used to run good! is it possible to be a software or G-code issue?
Thanks for any and all help you folks may be able to provide.
**update** when i rotate the torch in the holder it changes where the bevel is.

Pictures of your consumables?
I had an issue where I was getting single-sided bevel and it drove me crazy; this occurred on a new machine torch with a new plasma cutter. Turns out, air was leaking between the torch head and consumables because a new o-ring with lube fixed it.
Just adding this to the list of many other reasons like mentioned above - bad consumables, incorrect torch height, air supply, moisture (unpredictable cut results), speed, and more.
Are there any directions where the bevel does not happen? Like moving in a straight line in x or y?
Since you say it’s been working properly for years (usage rate unknown), I’d add to the above listed items confirming the torch mount condition. I know you said you confirmed the angle but I am wondering if there is some out of square condition that occurs during movement.
Just hold the torch trolley and try to rock it side to side in the different directions and check for play that could result in a change to torch angle as it’s driven in the x direction.
it depends on which way the torch is clocked in the torch holder. But if the bevel is on the X axis, the Y axis will have a straight cut.
I think I have it narrowed down to a consumables issue. I just don’t understand how it was an issue with the new torch as I was not using consumables out of the same lot. Being a cheap plasma from amazon, I can’t buy good brand name consumables for it, or I would do that.
I have some new consumables coming today. I’ll report back on if it helps at all.
