Starting Water Level?

Just finished setting up new Pro. Looking for suggestions on starting water level in pans. What have you found works best? (FYI going to use Razor cut 45) Thanks

I filled the pan of my Crossfire XL to within an inch of the top of the slats (about 5 1/2 gallons), it wasn’t enough. After I filter the cutting fluid and put back in the pan I will add at least another gallon and maybe two. I’m just learning too but feel that filling to 1/2" to the top of the slats will be best. Your mileage may vary!!
