Has anybody thought of, or made a stainless water table? I am fortunate enough to have access at work to endless amounts of stainless of all different gauges. Any thoughts or comments about a stainless water table would be greatly appreciated! I just figure it would cut down on any or all corrosion issues… and look good also! Thanks in advance!
I see no reason not to make one out of stainless steel except cost. But it sounds like you’ve got that covered
A stainless water tray won’t corrode. If you have free stainless, that sounds like a great project!
@langmuir-daniel Its not free, but I get it for cost, so it’s a pretty good deal!
jd2 makes theirs out of stainless. Do it!
Stainless water table in the works… 14ga was cheaper than 16ga
Nice job. Keep us posted about how it holds up to standing water.
I’m going to put a drain in it eventually… plus a holding tank and a shelf. Between my kids, work, and life in general I haven’t had much time to play!
Stainless is the route I want to go. Only thing holding me back is I wan to extend my Y axis and don’t want to remake a table! That press brake is insane.
Ahhh, I miss the days that I had access to a full blown shop… 250ton cnc brake press, 10x20 high def plasma… with a boss generous enough to let us use it all on personal gigs
After a couple weeks of burning, my stainless water table… it turned green. Other that, it is holding up great!
