I know there are a lot of cut charts and different posts already about this, but it gets confusing because there are so many different ones. Can someone please weigh in on this who has experience. I am using the razorweld cut 45 on a crossfire XR. I am cutting 12 gauge mild CR steel. I have new consumables, 85 to 90 psi of air I have dual in-line air dryers at the base of the unit and I am getting constant arc failures. For the first four months of cutting I had zero problems but now it is problems on every single cut. Am I doing something wrong? I have tried multiple times of testing. Can anyone weigh in on what they think a good speed for cutting would be of this. Is 57 too slow I know the hypertherm charts say something like 126 roughly. I do have it set at 40 A. I have tried 45, 40, 35 and 30. All give the same failures. I have tried adjusting the air from 70 to roughly 100 because it’s a small dial. It’s hard to get it 100% accurate. I have also tried adjusting the speeds doing test cuts, etc. speeds have varied from 37, all the way up to 72. Should I go faster - maybe closer to 120? I also have tried leaving smart voltage on, removing smart voltage and putting the nominal voltage at 113, 115 117 all the way up to 124. I am at a total loss like I said it worked flawlessly with daily cuts for the first four months now I can’t get even the slightest straight line cut to work all new consumables. They are brand name bought from langmuir systems. Also, is there an “official” Razerweld cut chart?
