Any idea if or when spare parts will Become a available?
What kind of spare parts were you looking for? There aren’t that many parts of the Crossfire that might need replacing over time and most are pretty standard - lead screws, lead nuts, cables, etc. They’re available from places like McMaster or Grainger or even Amazon.
Langmuir is always quick to ship anything you might need if something breaks. I’ve thought of stocking some stuff just in case so I wouldn’t need to wait for a part but I’m not business dependent on it so I haven’t bothered.
The only thing that’s not readily available from 3rd parties is the Crossfire control box.
Well the control box isnt a concern bit lead nuts are. It would be complicated part to make, that’s really the only thing I guess. The new longer leadscre on the xl whips a little bit and my first thought was to grab some spare lead nuts when they are available.
Speaking of the cabinet I think I have to change the power supply. I thought it was just my Powerline adapters ever getting knocked off line but it appears it’s wireless networks too and I think the noise is coming from the power supply, I’ll test it tomorrow and see how far its transmitting.
Everything in the control box is available on amazon or ebay, there is nothing proprietary in there, including the breakout board. Just search USB motion controller… Some call it the chinese red board…
Yes I actually have everythi g here already except the break out board I just swapped out the power supply in mine. I was thinking that I also want the big carriage on the y axis and the bearing blocks too
The spring in my torch must have gotten too hot and collapsed and I can’t figure out how to get it out to replace it …can anyone tell me how to replace the spring in my razorweld torch?
Just send a mail to Langmuir, and ask tham what you need. They will send you an invoice, and once it’s paid, they ship very quickly!
