Software Question re adding Fiber Laser head to XR

I currently have the XR and love it, but I am wanting to incorporate/dual purpose a fiber laser system, while still maintaining plasma service to help expand my capabilities, I.e thin gauge material, etc. My question is would I be able to incorporate a Fiber Laser cut program such as “Raytools 2DCutAhead” while still utilizing my current “XR” breakout board or would I have to run a separate or independent breakout board? I would already of course have the platform as such that came with my XR.

You try to use a fiber laser or a diode laser?

As cheap as things are, I would just make a new control box with a board and drivers and just swap the cables over to it. I’ve considered this same thing.

I would either invest in some laser rated curtains to surround the table or build some flip up shields around the sides of the table. All these people running these import laser tables raw with no shielding are out of their minds.

Agree, I have already started the conversion. I have the MAX+ 1500 watt source, controller/breakout board, 3000w Raycus autofocus head, chiller, etc. Swapping motors now.

I’ll be curious to see how it works out! What did you go with for a controller?
