Simulation thinks its a mill not plasma cnc

i designed my part and added my extrusion and everything works fine. once i finish my 2d profile and watch the simulation its like the tool is a mill instead of the plasma cnc. the cut mark is away from the piece instead of on the line. i didnt change anything that i can think of. im worried it will mess up my part not cutting right. if you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Upload your Fusion file and someone will take a look.

Or post some screen shots of what you are talking about.

Will do but itll have to be tomorrow more than likely.

Edit your tool so that your nozzle diameter is the same as the kerf width.

It is likely that you have your nozzle diameter something like 1 inch. (Keep in mind: the term “nozzle” in this situation, is considering the outside diameter of the torch shield or the end of the torch head. Which is really not the what we usually mean when we say “nozzle”)

If the nozzle diameter is actually entered as the real nozzle diameter then you get a very confusing looking simulation.

There is a setting for that, I don’t know what they call it in fusion, but if you want your part to be the right size you can’t cut on the line. You need to cut next to it. Same as how a saw blade takes a bit of material with it, plasma does the same.
