Silatu STC850P Max

wondering if anyone has used the Silatu STC850P Max with the Cross Fire Pro.

I don’t know of anyone who has used it, but it should work. The specs indicate that it is a blowback start that does not use high frequency.

Welcome aboard,
It should work fine. Were are you going to get consumables for it? those are S45 consumables on it and the largest cutting tip is a 1.0mm/50 amp… So if you plan on using it for the rated 85 amps you will need a new torch. A PTM80 machine torch a will work but then you only have a 80 amp cutting tip. So it would be best to get a PTM100 torch to cover the 85 amps. Also it has a short post flow setting were it needs at least 30 seconds or more at higher amps.

Thank you for the response. That is also what I was reading, but can not find a manual or anything for reference

You need Manual Man ( @TinWhisperer ) to help you!

Have not looked for the Consumables. Where did you See S45? Where did you see the 30 seconds post flow? The listing says it is adjustable from 3-15 secs.

The consumables in the pictures are Trafimet S45 style. No, you need 30 seconds post flow over 40 amps to keep the torch and consumables cool so they last longer.

I’m not in front of the computer or I would have a look for it.

10:00 to 1:00 you’ll be able to find a manual in a different brand name outlining the same unit

@pjohannik Welcome to The forum

Still looking at other machines. Reading the manual for the Primweld Cut60. Looks like it might be a better option for me. I want to be able to cut up to 5/8", but normal stuff would be 1/2"and below

Been looking for that also. This machine seems to be differant that the others i have seen.

I see now. New to plasma cutting, but have been doing 3D printing and Fusion for my designs.

Looking at the PTM torch and tips, as i was having a hard time finding the PTM100 and consumables. Do you know of a source?

You are talking to the “source” :wink:
