Signing my name on a project - Sorta

I played around a little this morning with the marking function. I thought it might be fun to put my name on a project or two.

One thing I found interesting is that I thought I would raise the pierce height to try and alleviate the start divot. When I did that I had to increase the pierce delay. And If I went too far it wouldn’t work at all. I want to play around some more, I got called away before I was done.

The one furthest to the right and the one in Script was set at .14 Pierce height, .14 cut height and .6 pierce delay at 9 amps. Using my Hypertherm 45 Sync.

The one I like the best is the one written in Script under the word Test.

I looked at the etching/marking capability of our Hypertherm units and it is just not knocking my socks off. I think the laser etching is far more elegant/professional looking.

But don’t get me wrong, I am hoping you find that “sweet” setting. The one on the lower right is the best I have ever seen so you might dial it in.
